'Say Hello, Wave Goodbye' is a unique DVD snap-shot of the 1980's. A time when British pop music walked with a swagger, when the pop-song in its many different guises was king. This compilation includes the vast productions of ABC and Frankie Goes To Hollywood, the jangling restless pop of Lloyd Cole and Tears For Fears and anthemic sing-alongs from the Style Council and Big Country. The promotional music video was still a relatively new phenomenon and many bands were beginning to realise the power of the medium. Our selection ranges from big budget classics such as 'Two Tribes' and 'Poison Arrow', to the sheer simplicity of 808 state and the genuine innovation of Godley & Creme's 'Cry', one of the most influential and copied videos of the past twenty five years. Your host is the well-known British broadcaster, writer and Art Of Noise founder, Paul Morley. Paul presents a sometimes irreverent but always informative trip around the musical hot spots of London. The DVD also features band profiles and a new 5:1 mix. ![]() ![]() |

Restless Natives, OPTD0131 © 2005 Optimum Releasing Ltd. Released 2005 "ONE OF SCOTLAND'S BEST-LOVED CULT MOVIES" SCOTTISH SUNDAY EXPRESS Ronnie (Joe Mullaney) and Will (Vincent Friell) are two free-wheeling lads living on a housing estate in Edinburgh. Broke and bored, the two decide to politely rob coachloads of tourists travelling through the Highlands for a bit of cash. Donning a wolf and a clown mask and armed with a puffer gun shooting out curry powder, the duo soon become a hit with the tourists and the public alike. As the two follow in the great tradition of Robin Hood and Rob Roy, their exploits make them a tourist attraction bigger than the Loch Ness monster. But not everyone is a fan - the local police are closing in on them, assisted by a vacationing CIA agent (Ned Beatty- Deliverance, Network). Featuring an infectious soundtrack by Big Country and stunning Highlands scenery, this much-loved and, until now, much-missed film is a thoroughly enjoyable gem." Big Country - Wonderland, EVDVD086 © 1986 Studio Hamburg Distribution and Marketing GmbH Released February 2010 1 Wonderland, 2 Fields Of Fire, 3 Where The Rose Is Sown, 4 Rain Dance, 5 Remembrance Day, 6 Just A Shadow, 7 Steeltown, 8 Look Away, 9 Chance, 10 The Teacher, 11 In A Big Country, 12 Inwards, 13 Harvest Home, 14 The Storm, 15 Lost Patrol, 16 Tracks Of My Tears. "When Big Country took to the stage at the Grugahalle in Essen in March 1986 they were at the peak of their commercial success on the back of their No.1 UK album "Steeltown" and the release of their follow up "The Seer" a few months in the future. The show captures everything that was good about Big Country, the soaring guitar, the great songs, the powerhouse rythm section and Stuart Adamson's charasmatic performance as the band's frontman. Big Country would go on for many years after this but they can have delivered few finer performances than this legendary Rockpalast appearance." ![]() |
