COUNTRY WIDE! BIG COUNTRY strike out on the road again next month just weeks after their last tour finished.
 
And the group have a new single out on August 26. It's called 'Chance' and follows up their 'Big Country' hit, and is backed by a live version of the Smokey Robinson song 'Tracks Of My Tears'. A 12-inch version features an actual song called 'The Crossing' — although it doesn't appear on the album of the same name.
 
Dates start at Bristol Colston Hall on September 13. Then Birmingham Odeon 14, Sheffield City Hall 15, Aberdeen Capitol 17, Edinburgh Playhouse 18, Glasgow Tiffany's 19, Newcastle City Hall 20, Liverpool Empire 22, Manchester Apollo 25, Nottingham Royal Concert Hall 26, Oxford Apollo 27, Southampton Gaumont 28 and London Hammersmith Odeon 29. Tickets are on sale now from venues and agents.
 
A FLOCK Of Seagulls release a new single '(It is Not Me) Talking'on August 26. The record was produced by Bill Nelson.

TUESDAY hails the start of a new BBC2 series 'Pop Carnival' which runs live shows over four consecutive days. It kicks off with with Big Country at Sefton Park. 'Hold Tight' (ITV) has its normal spot with Dreams, H20 and Jools Holland guesting, with the latter showing off some new computer game.
